EXPANDED POLISTYRENE (EPS)

Expanded polystyrene is utilized as thermal insulation in all types of building structures. Boards produced by polystyrene vary in densities (generally 15 to 30 kg/m3).

Each package of expanded polystyrene is marked with the appropriate label by the manufacturer.

Advantages of EPS products:

- Light weight (manufactured from a class of    light construction boards RC/PS -M-IB)
- Strong thermal insulation (l=0,035 0,041    W/mK)
- Inflammable material (B1 according to DIN    standard 4201-1)
- Resistant to temperatures up to 90 degrees    Celsius
- Good mechanical qualities
- Good steam transition (µ=20 100)
- Good sound absorber
- Neutral to concrete, metals and wood
- Ecologically and biologically clean product
- Does not contribute to static electricity
- Simple installation
- Easily handled and transported
